2026 Charlotte Water For People 5K & Virtual 5K 2026 Charlotte Water For People 5K & Virtual 5K Join us in the Queen City for a morning of fitness and philanthropy! Water For People is a global non-profit dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to reliable, safe water and sanitation services across Latin America, East Africa, and India. In North Carolina, the Water For People committee operates under NC One Water, bringing our local water community together to solve global challenges. Whether you're a competitive runner or just looking for a scenic stroll with your pet, the McAlpine Creek Cross Country Course offers a flat, partially shaded path perfect for all levels. Join fellow professionals and community members as we race to make a difference! Event Schedule & Location Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026 Location: McAlpine Creek Park | 8711 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212 Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM Registration: Register Here Race Day Timeline 8:00 AM: Day-of registration & packet pickup opens (at the covered pavilion) 8:30 AM: Day-of registration closes 9:00 AM: Race Start! 9:50 AM: Awards ceremony for top male and female runners in each age bracket Packet Pickup Skip the race-day lines and grab your gear early at Charlotte Running Company! Thursday, April 23 (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM): Dilworth Location | 1412 East Blvd, Suite G, Charlotte, NC 28203 Friday, April 24 (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM): Promenade Location | 5355 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy #200, Charlotte, NC 28277 Extra T-shirts will be available for purchase for $15. Important Details Virtual 5K: Not in Charlotte? You can still support the cause from anywhere! Select the "Virtual 5K" option during registration. Food & Hydration: Snacks and water will be provided. Be sure to stop by the Charlotte Water Wagon for a refreshing drink! Parking & Facilities: Volunteers will be on-site to direct traffic to the nearest lots. Portable toilets and permanent park restrooms are available near the start/finish and parking areas. Pets & Strollers: Leashed four-legged friends and strollers are more than welcome to join the fun.
