2026 Western Biological Wastewater Treatment School
The objective of the school is to REVIEW the proper operation of wastewater treatment systems, including laws and regulations, equipment employed in plants, and the ability to describe the general operation requirements for such plants. This curriculum is designed to assist the individual in preparation for the North Carolina Biological Wastewater Operator Exam. This school is held concurrently with the Physical/Chemical School and the Maintenance Technologist School. View the other courses available HERE.

All course classes will be held at the Foothills Higher Education Center in Morganton, NC. Each grade/level (e.g., Collections II) will have specific “tracks” of sessions to attend throughout the morning and afternoon. Final class
schedules will be provided one week before school. Please note that NC One Water does NOT offer breakfast or dinner on any school days. Breaks will be
scheduled between instructors throughout each day.

at the school.
NC1W can provide a printed binder of class presentations IN ADVANCE for $150 per binder. Please note that binders are not a required part of
registration .

Refunds/Substitutions (click to expand)
March 20th, 2026:
Binder sales are no longer eligible for refunds.
June 12th, 2026: Online registration ends and registrations are no longer eligible for refunds.
Refunds using the original payment method are available if NC One Water is notified prior to the refund deadline. All
refunds will be issued minus a $50 administrative fee. Refunds for event registrations may not be processed until the conclusion of the event. Where applicable, registrants may choose to apply the payment as a credit towards another event or substitute
a registrant if the request is made before the refund deadline.
If the cancellation is received after the deadline, no refund will be issued, but a substitute registrant may be requested. We accept substitutions up to the start time of the event.
