We are excited to welcome you to the 2025 Annual Conference! There are many opportunities to connect with peers, gain insights on the water industry, and learn what NC One Water is all about.
This guide does not contain everything about the conference, but will help you get registered and highlight some of the SYP specific events we host.
Students
On MONDAY 11/3/2025 our conference is open to students in or interested in the water/wastewater industry!
We host a dedicated Student & Young Professional session "track" with a full day of content along with a SYP Lunch & Learn (more below).
Registration is required on this event page to attend as a student.
Student Verification: If you are registering as a student for the free conference admission, you MUST provide one of the following to verify your student status: a student email address or a PDF of your current enrollment certificate.
How to Register as a Student (Step-by-Step)
Please follow these instructions to register.
Sign-in, or Set-up a free Customer profile (this profile gives you access to online registration, but does not entitle you to NC AWWA-WEA member benefits).
Click the green "Register" button on this page.
Fill out all attendee information and include ONE of the Student Verification Requirements.
Click "Next."
Select the Student Registration Ticket
Click "Save & Finalize Registration" to complete the process.
Now that you're registered, you'll have a Student Badge at the conference!
You can pick up your badge at either of these times:
Early Pickup: At the Sunday Welcome Social on Sunday, November 2nd, from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Day-Of Pickup: On Monday at the Engagement Lounge, located in the center of the Convention Center Exhibit Hall.

Young Professionals
Young Professionals, register for the conference HERE! If you are a young professional attending and intend to receive Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for Professional Engineers (PEs) or Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for other certifications, please ensure you complete your conference registration in its entirety.
If you are a Young Professional who requires financial assistance to attend the conference, please contact Sarah Sterling at ssterling@nconewater.org.
