Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Workgroup

Purpose

The Laboratory Analyst Workgroup (LabNet) was formed to promote communication between and the education of the state’s wastewater laboratory analysts to help insure the generation of precise and accurate data for the protection of our water resources. To accomplish this goal, this workgroup meets quarterly at various locations throughout the state to share laboratory-pertinent information, announcements, and a planned program presentation. Laboratories in the Eastern NC may attend meetings organized in that region under the LabsEast section.

In addition, the workgroup has created and oversees a Voluntary Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Certification program, participates in the selection of the Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Excellence Award recipient, and plays a role in planning and organizing an annual state-wide Lab Technology Day seminar.
