NC One Water's Training Schools are volunteer-led review schools created to provide education and training to the State’s water & wastewater industry professionals.
Each school is organized and run by it's own Workgroup: Wastewater School Workgroup, Collection & Distribution School Workgroup, and the Plant Operation & Maintenance Workgroup.
These Workgroups are made up of NC One Water members in the roles of: Chair, Vice-Chair, Coordinators, and Instructors.
CHAIR: - Plan and carry out all duties required for the establishment of annual schools.
- Leads Coordinators in preparation of school materials including presentations, schedules, and equipment.
VICE-CHAIR: - Assist the Chair with all duties in preparation to assume the Chair role.
COORDINATORS: - Recruits, schedules, and prepares Instructors for each school.
- Receives, organizes, and distributes Instructor materials.
INSTRUCTORS: - Provide quality class room training at schools through lecture, demonstration, and visual aids.
- Recommends updates to training material based on the State Needs-to-Know and innovations in the industry.

How to Join the Instructor Program NC
One Water is always looking for emerging or established leaders to join
the Instructor Program for any of our Training Schools! Please email the current Chair of your desired school to get connected. Collection and Distribution School: - Three (3) schools (one in Raleigh, one in
Morganton, one in Morehead City) for Collections 1 through 4, Distribution C, B, A, Shoring, Meter Technician, Basic Confined Space, and Backflow/Cross-Connection.

Biological Wastewater School & Physical Chemical Wastewater Treatment School: - Two (2) schools (one in Raleigh and one in
Morganton) for biological wastewater treatment plant operators Grades I - IV.
- One (1) school in Raleigh for physical/chemical wastewater treatment plant operators Grades I and II.
