2026 Central Physical / Chemical Wastewater Treatment School
The objective of the school is to REVIEW the origins and general characteristics and operations of wastewater for Physical/Chemical Treatment. This curriculum is designed to assist the individual in preparation for the North Carolina Physical Chemical Wastewater Operator Exam (PC1 or PC2).
This school is held concurrently with the Biological Wastewater School and the Maintenance Technologist School. View the other courses available HERE.

All course classes will be held at the McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman St, Raleigh, North Carolina. Final class schedules will be provided one week before school. Please note that breakfast and dinner are NOT provided by NC One Water on any of the school days. Breaks will be scheduled in between instructors throughout each day. Registration for a NC One Water School course does NOT include registration for the formal operator exam. Please see the NC DEQ website for more information on the Wastewater Operator exam.

All students will receive a web link with the school presentations in PDF format sent one week before the school begins, and students may print them on their own if desired. Students will also receive a USB drive of the presentations on-site
at the school.
NC1W can provide a printed binder of class presentations IN ADVANCE for $150 per binder. Please note that binders are not a required part of
registration.
See the “Optional Presentation Binder Add-On” on the registration page when completing enrollment. Binder
orders must be pre-purchased by March 20th, 2026.

Physical / Chemical Wastewater Treatment Grade 1 Approved for 18.0 continuing education hours (CEUs) for wastewater operators by the NCWPCSOCC.
