Foundations of Leadership: Effective Self-Management (3.0 hours)
Self-management skills are personal attributes that enhance interpersonal interactions, job performance, and career prospects at any level. In the workplace, these “people” skills are considered a complement to occupational skills and technical knowledge. These skills are more critical than ever as organizations struggle to find meaningful ways to be more productive and efficient. To be a truly valuable employee, it’s just not enough to be highly trained in technical areas without developing
interpersonal and relationship-building skills that help people to communicate and collaborate effectively. The Foundations of Leadership: Effective Self-Management Course is designed to teach the fundamentals of leadership and effective workplace conduct. The course will include discussion of professionalism/ethics, integrity, dependability, and teamwork. The course provides utility personnel with tools to enhance workplace relationships, improve collaboration, and assess self-development
opportunities.
