Lunch and Technical Presentation: Plant Tour:
Riverside Fish House Town of Dallas Wastewater Treatment Plant
1351 Dallas Stanley Hwy 700 E. Ferguson St
Dallas, N.C. 28034 Dallas, N.C. 28034
(704) 922-8360 (704) 922-0517
The Town of Dallas Wastewater Treatment Plant consists of two 0.3 MGD process trains with discharge into a tributary of Long Creek. The treatment processes include:
• A manually cleaned bar rack
• A parshall flume for influent flow measurement
• A secondary manually cleaned bar rack
• Dual circular extended aeration basins with integral clarifiers, post aeration and sludge digesters
Treated effluent is chlorinated and then dechlorinated prior to discharge.
The technical presentation will discuss oxygen uptake rate measurement. Increasing discharge demands put higher pressure on process optimization and control of wastewater treatment plant performance. Oxygen uptake rate measurement can provide a great deal of information about plant performance, wastewater characteristics, degradability of special concentrated stream as well as parameters needed for mathematical models used to predict plant optimization. Robin Deal with Hubbard-Hall will present.
Program Schedule
Lunch: 11:45 a.m.—12:45 p.m.
