Charlotte GROW Event: Sugar Creek WWTP Tour

Join us for a tour of Charlotte Water's Sugar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Learn about treatment processes, past challenges and solutions. Personnel will share technology that has been implemented to make the facility more efficient and to address future NPDES requirements.

After the tour, attendees who are interested can gather for a pay-for-your-own lunch at a local restaurant.

Tour Guidelines:

• All tour participants must dress appropriately in order to comply with the NCOSHA standards. Shorts are not allowed, all participants must wear pants. Attendee's must wear long pants. (We recommend not wearing pants/slacks that drag on the ground.)
  
• No sandals, flip-flops, and backless, open-toe or heeled shoes. Everyone must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and socks.
• Backpacks and cell phones are prohibited while on the tour.

• Water Treatment Facility Operators, Distribution Operators, Cross Connection/Backflow Operators: This training is approved for 1.0 contact hours for continuing education by the NCWTFOCB. Course ID: 220051.
• Wastewater Operators: This seminar is approved by the WPCSOCC for 1.0 contact hours for continuing education Must be present for entire class to receive certificate of attendance. Course ID: CEU09072201
• PE: Approved for 1.0 contact hours.
• Maintenance Tech: Approved for 1.0 contact hours.
