Please join us for a tour of the Westside WWTP in Thomasville. Attendees will learn about the various treatment processes within the plant and how automation has been implemented to improve operation of the plant. 

The tour is limited to 20 participants, and these events generally fill up quickly. 

The Westside WWTP is a Class IV wastewater treatment facility, currently permitted to treat 10.0 MGD. The 2018 plant upgrade brought online a newly designed Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) system for more efficient nitrogen and phosphorus removal from the treated waste stream, with an additional Final Clarifier. Plant operations are monitored using a newly installed SCADA system (2022). 

This event is organized by the Piedmont Region of the Membership Engagement Committee.
