Tuesday, October 31, 1:10-3:20 p.m. Neuse River RRF, Bioenergy Campus* Cost is $30 per person Conference attendees are invited to register for a tour of Raleigh Water’s new Bioenergy Recovery facilities at the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility (NRRRF) hosted by representatives of Raleigh, Black & Veatch, Hazen and Sawyer, and Crowder Construction Company. The Bioenergy Recovery Project facilities include new screening, preconditioning, THP, sludge cooling, digesters, steam supply, gas handling and treatment, sidestream treatment, along with upgrades to existing final dewatering and thickening facilities. Construction began in 2019 and is nearly complete with startup and commissioning scheduled to begin in late 2023 *The Bioenergy Campus will still be an active construction site at the time of the tour, therefore participants will be required to wear PPE. Hard hats, safety vests, and safety glasses will be provided at the site, however participants are required to wear leather work-style boots (steel-toed not required) |  |
