Piedmont GROW: Mitchell Water Treatment Plant Tour

Description:

Attendees will be provided with a guided facility tour led by City of Greensboro staff. The Mitchell Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is a 24 MGD facility and sources raw water from Lake Brandt. This facility is in the planning stages for significant PFOS/PFOA removal upgrades. The City has selected to implement a deep bed Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) contactor system for the Mitchell WTP. This event offers a unique opportunity to tour the facility before major projects related to GAC treatment and residuals management begin.

• Maintenance Technologists: This event is approved for 1.0 CEUs.
• Professional Engineers: This event is approved for 1.0 PDH.
