Directions to trailhead: Enter Umstead State Park though the Glenwood Ave Entrance. Continue straight past the visitors' center. Turn left on to Maintenance Rd, follow signs for Sycamore Cabins. Turn right on to Group Camp Rd. Turn left on to Sycamore Rd. Continue straight to the large parking lot at the end of the road.
