Basic Confined Space Entry Operations
This course is designed to provide participants with the comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required to plan, develop, and safely execute confined space entries in strict compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Interpret Regulatory Standards: Define key terminology and general requirements for Confined Space Operations as mandated by OSHA.
Mitigate Risks: Identify and assess atmospheric, physical, and environmental hazards associated with permit-required confined spaces.
Clarify Roles: Outline the specific duties and legal responsibilities of authorized entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors.
Manage Equipment: Demonstrate the proper inspection, maintenance, and operation of essential safety and rescue equipment.
This school includes courses for Water
Distribution (C, B, & A) & Shoring, Wastewater Collection (I, II, III,
and IV), Backflow Prevention/Cross-Connection Control, Meter Technician, and Basic Confined Space Entry Operation.

All course classes will be held at the McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman St, Raleigh, North Carolina. Each grade/level (e.g., Collections II) will have specific “tracks” of sessions to attend throughout the morning and afternoon. Final class
schedules will be provided one week before school. Please note that NC One Water does NOT offer breakfast or dinner on any school days. Breaks will be
scheduled between instructors throughout each day.

School course does NOT include registration for the formal operator exam.
