Organized by the NC One Water Biosolids Workgroup, this annual seminar aims to explore areas of concern of residuals and biosolids management in the wastewater sector. Topics that are covered include emerging issues, advancements in treatment and resource recovery technologies, evolving regulatory frameworks, and operational strategies.
Multi-regional perspectives from academic researchers, regulatory agencies, public utilities, and legal professionals will be represented in the full-day technical program, which includes presentations and panel Q&A discussions. Designed for professionals of all experience levels, the seminar is intended to provide an integrated, forward‑looking perspective of residuals and biosolids management.
This year we are offering a virtual option for the main seminar on 8/20/2026. We always recommenced attending in person, but if you can't make it this time, register to join us online!
Pre-Seminar Tour: Neuse River RRF Tour
Join us for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes walking tour of the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility. Participants will get a firsthand look at the plant's advanced biosolids treatment processes, from thickening through pre-dewatering, screening, THP, digestion, post-dewatering, and product load-out, as well as the biogas RNG system.
