Chris Ford will briefly review the multiple trenchless technologies used for pipe rehabilitation and new installations. He'll then cover the design and installation practices for pipe bursting and horizontal directional drilling (HDD), followed by a look at the resources available for the design and construction of trenchless technologies, and close with a Q&A. About the Speaker
Chris Ford, PE, is Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer for Highfill Infrastructure Engineering, PC. He brings 36 years of experience in utilities, facility rehabilitation, water resources, structural engineering, and construction contract administration. Over the past 20 years, his work has focused on trenchless technologies for pipeline condition assessment and rehabilitation — including pipe bursting of fracturable pipes, pipe splitting of non-fracturable pipes, installation of high-pressure CIPP liners, horizontal directional drilling, and auger boring.
