The objective of this school is to REVIEW the basic concepts in the proper operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The curriculum will provide information that should be helpful in preparing a participant for the mandatory certification exams in Water Distribution, Backflow, and Wastewater Collection, and the voluntary certification exam for Meter Technician.

Please note that the days of attendance for this event is based upon the class(es) you register for. Below is a table outlining these dates and important notes for each class. It is the registrants responsibility to ensure they are aware of the appropriate class days. No refunds will be issued for registrants that don't attend on the correct days.
ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BRING CALCULATORS TO USE DURING MATH SESSIONS.
Attendance tracking system requires all attendees must BRING YOUR CERTIFICATION CARDS in order to receive credit.

The AWWA M6 Manual (4th edition) is the textbook for the Meter Technician Class and should be read, in entirety, before attending the school. Read the book! The AWWA M6 Manual is required to take the exam. Please note that the exam is based upon the 4th edition, but the 5th edition is the current book sold by most vendors. Contact NC AWWA-WEA if you are interested in the 4th edition.
