The NC AWWA-WEA Membership committee will be hosting the next GROW event in Wilmington, NC. Join us under the bridge at the Art Factory/Waterline Brewing Company on Thursday, July 14th at 6:00 p.m. A presentation will be made with the focus on the archaeological and historical investigations of the 28 Civil War shipwrecks in the Cape Fear area. These wrecks are located both offshore along the beaches and in the Cape Fear River itself. The recent discovery and identification of the wreck of the blockade runner Agnes E. Fry and the establishment of a heritage dive site on the blockade runner Condor will be the focal points for this presentation; “Commerce and Conflict: Blockade Running into Wilmington During the American Civil War”.”
Online registration has closed, but you may still show up and register onsite. We look forward to seeing you there!
